4vets Hepatic veterinary diet is a specialized complete food for adult dogs of all breeds suffering from liver failure and other liver disorders. The limited intake of high-quality protein has a beneficial effect on liver function and hepatocyte regeneration and prevents atrophy of muscle tissue. Highly digestible carbohydrates in the diet provide a non-protein energy source whose metabolism does not lead to the formation of toxic products of protein metabolism.

Additional Information
The basic dietary management for both acute and chronic liver failure is an easily digestible diet with fat restriction. The diet must contain an adequate amount of protein with a high digestibility factor. Ensuring an adequate quantity of nutrients allows you to maintain a high nutritional status of the body. It is also important to increase the frequency of the diet, but in smaller portions. Due to the natural tendency of copper to accumulate in the metabolically inefficient liver, the liver diet should be deficient in this element.
