Simply put in the 4 D-cell batteries (not included), fill the feeder trays with dry food, and set the times for when your pet needs to eat. You can set up to five feeding times. Feed your pet once a day for five days, five times every day, or any other combination. For example, if you feed your pet once a day, set one feeding time for their normal feeding time and fill each tray with up to one cup of dry food. Note that the first tray will be available to your pet. The feeder will rotate to the next tray at that same set time every day; all you have to do is refill the trays with food. If you feed your pet more than once a day, you can program up to five feeding times. Refill the trays every day and the feeder will do the rest.
